Halleloo I’m back! (Again!)…

Well, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve last said ‘Hey guys!’ but I’m back!

My last post was on Christmas Day and I now only realise how long ago that was! So much has happened since then and it does explain why I haven’t posted in a while. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been happening…

Having a baby toddler. Well, Jade sure is growing quickly! We celebrated her first birthday in February with family and friends then had a messy cake smash. She has learnt how to climb up and down the stairs (she loves it, I hate it!), she cruises along the furniture so will be walking very soon and happily munches any food given to her. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Going back to work. I only do 23.5 hours a week but it does zap my time away from Jade. I want to spend my free time with her as much as possible. I do find I have more time available now (hence why I’m writing this post!) and I’m going to make a few changes with this blog for the better!

Health issues. Since I was pregnant (wow that feels like a long time ago!) I was suffering with headaches all day, everyday. I went to the doctors, was given useless tablets and that was that. My vison started acting weird with blurring and going bloodshot so they referred me to an ophthalmologist at my nearby hospital. Turns out my optic nerve is swollen which is a clear sign of too much pressure in my head. A CT scan, MRI, lumbar puncture and bucket loads of bloods later, they diagnose me with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (unknown reason for too much pressure in skull). I have to have regular tests and tablets to control it but I might need a shunt if it’s not getting better. This was the main reason for not updating my blog, sometimes I honestly didn’t feel like it.

So that’s a quick run down of the past couple of months, nothin exciting but busy busy busy. Lots of things in the pipeline coming soon!
