Merci Beaucoup Paris! It’s been magical!

Hey guys!

So I have just recently celebrated my 28th birthday (ah I’m getting old!) and Tom and I went with some friends to beautiful Paris for four days.

I ended up going into a few French pharmacies to hunt for some essential goodies, there were a few recommendations from friends on what to keep an eye out for. Plus I had to go into Sephora, I think my sister-in-law would have killed me if I didn’t! Here’s what I got:

Bioderma Créaline (Sensibio) H20 2x500ml bundle. If you hunt about, you can find some fab bundles in the pharmacies. This bundle was originally €17.99 but was on special offer for €15 (which works out about £13.35). It’s such a huge saving as you can buy a 250ml bottle from FeelUnique for £10.80, so over £40 for the litre I got! Bargain!

Klorane Body Wash 200ml in Mystic Berry and Delicate Fruit. These smell AMAZING!!! I wish I could have a scratch and sniff on your screen so you could experience just how beautiful these smell (how cool would that be!). These were in special offer for €3 so it’s practically the same if you buy it online but I saved myself on the massive postage!

Nuxe gift set. I love Nuxe, it’s such an iconic brand that just screams French. This set include the Huile Prodigieuse (50ml) which is the famous dry oil that can be used on the face, body and hair. This would normally retail for £17 on the Nuxe website. It also includes the rêve de miel lip balm, this is an ultra nourishing cream lip balm which is perfect for dry or damaged lips. It rescued my lips from the harsh winds in Paris! This would normally retail for £10.50 on the Nuxe website. Finally in the set is the rêve de miel hand and nail cream (30ml). Smells amazing and soaked into the skin quickly. This retails for approx £4 on the Nuxe website. So I picked this set up for only €20.95 (£18.64) and once added up separately it would have cost about £31.50. So I have saved a lot!

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer Mini in ‘Light’. I found this mini on the little shelves that line the queue waiting to pay. It was only €11 (£9.79) but I really wanted to try a new concealer without paying the hefty price tag that some come with. I have heard a lot about the Too Faced concealer so fingers crossed this works for me.

Sephora Green Clay Mask, Sephora Charcoal Nose Strip and perfume samples. I wanted something that was actually branded by Sephora so I picked up one of their face masks. The green clay version is supposed to help with minimising pores and giving you a healthy glow, you can get approx four uses out of it. This was €5.95 (£5.30) so not exactly cheap but I just wanted to get it a try. Next I bought the Sephora charcoal nose strip, this is a one use product that you put over your nose and let it dry. Then after 15-20 mins you pull it off. I was expecting it to hurt but it didn’t and the results were quite nice, practically poreless. This was €2.95 (£2.62) so not exactly breaking the bank.

Now I won’t bore you with all the landmarks we went to as we all know the main sights in Paris but here are some of my favourite pictures:

Sneaky G&T in the hotel room in the worlds smallest glass!

L’arc de Triomphe.

Some beautiful artwork in the streets of Paris.

Glass floor up the Effiel Tower!

Moulin Rouge. Way too expensive to go inside!

A girl can dream!

Beautiful day for a picture.

Because everyday you see some giant red lips!

Selfie with Le Tour Effiel!

Still dreaming…

When it’s lit up it’s truly beautiful!

Busy busy at Nôtre Dame!

Magnificent architecture!

Venus de Milo a L’ouvre!

Mona Lisa of course!

Found some locks on the now shut down ‘Love lock bridge’.

Underneath the Effiel Tower!

Sephora of course!

I would love to go back to Paris so we could explore more, especially Versailles as we didn’t get the chance to go there. Best start saving up, wasn’t exactly cheap this time!

  1. I have never been to Paris! I never fancied it but the older I get the more I am tempted. You got some beautiful photos! Sorry for the late comment, holidays got in the way, but better late than never. Thank you for joining in at #TriumphantTales, hope to see you again on Tuesday!
