Hey guys!
It’s been a little while since my last post but I have been busy getting into the swing of motherhood and I really enjoy it! Jade is now six weeks old and starting to get into a routine, which to me is a godsend as it’s getting a bit easier day-by-day.
One of the things I knew I wanted to do when Jade arrived is to start babywearing. I wanted to be able to go out as a family (dog included!) and not be lugging about a pram through muddy paths. Plus I wanted the use of my arms and hands! I wasn’t sure if I wanted a wrap or a carrier so I weighed up the pros and cons of both and decided on getting a wrap, mainly because Jade will be a newborn and I wanted to make sure she was safe and comfortable.
After a long search online, I bought a soft pink wrap from Little Bears Boutique. It was reduced from £40 to £11 in a flash sale for Valentine’s Day so I couldn’t say no! At least if it didn’t work out for me I could gift it to someone else and it didn’t kill my bank account!
The wrap arrived nicely packaged in a carry bag with clear instructions on how to wrap around your body. The fabric is soft and stretchy so it’s nice on my skin and Jades skin, I don’t want us getting any sores from scratchy material!
I first tried this on without Jade so I can get used to wrapping it without any complications, plus if I’m on my own I need to get used to doing it. I did it on the first try! It was much easier than I thought, I had visions of struggling a couple of times before eventually succeeding but nope, first try!
Now was the time to add Jade into the wrap and go outside…Success! It was easy to slide her in and make sure she was comfortable and secure. She did cry for the first five minutes as she was asleep in the car, but once we started walking about, she was fast asleep! There was no waking her!
So far we have only gone out once in the wrap as the weathers been awful, but now it’s starting to perk up and the clocks change this weekend which means it will be lighter outside for longer, we can go out more!
I can’t wait!
Happy babywearing! Love this post. I’ve just wrote a post on why we babywear & enjoying reading other people’s experiences x

Oh, this really is something that I wished I had done with my little one when he was little. (Feels like yesterday but in reality is four years ago!). Well done you and I really hope you enjoy it. How lovely that you get to be close all the time too. Aw squidgy baby cuddles, they’re the best. Thanks for linking up a second post to #TriumphantTales. Hope to see you again tomorrow.

Oh she is so tiny!!!!! I loved my wrap. It did wonders for when Ben was playing up and i needed to do housework. Its also brilliant for when they start getting inquisitive and inbetween the pram and buggy phase. Thanks for sharing with us at #TriumphantTales
