Hi guys and welcome back to my blog, how are you today?
As some of you know I’m getting married on the 28th May (only 10 days to go!), everything’s all sorted now for the wedding and we are just finishing off the final bits for our honeymoon in America. Writing lists of what to pack, making sure we convert our pounds to dollars and getting all our paperwork/ESTAs ready.
But for me, I am writing a list of what make up, clothes and gadgets I’m on the hunt for in America! Sephora is my main priority in the make up section of my list and there’s a store INSIDE my hotel in Vegas, must be fate! I have been looking online and checking out my favourite YouTubers for help on what to get. Here’s some of my top picks, bearing in mind I could swatch some of these and hate them:
I am loving liquid lipsticks at the moment and I find that the UK don’t offer much in the way of decent brands. I have heard amazing things about the Anastasia Matt liquid lipsticks (well anything she makes is amazing!) and I want the above colour in Soft Lilac. However, I have also heard that the products are almost always sold out! If there’s other colours available in buying loads! Another Matt liquid lipstick I’m looking at is new from Tartes melted range. It’s called Miso Pretty but I will have to swatch it as I find it might not suit me.
I want to get a few eyeshadow/highlight pallets while I’m out there and top of my list are the new Tarte Tartelette in Bloom clay eyeshadow pallet (top picture). I love the nude and brown shades as I find these suit me better. As I already have a Tarte pallet in know what the quality of the shadows are like so I doubt I will need to swatch it. For a highlighter I’m still not sure what I want. Hourglass (bottom picture) seems to be the top highlighter at the moment and I’m really interested in how it swatches. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Foundation. I’m really picky when it comes to this as I am loyal to my Estée Lauder DW but I really want to try something new. The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea water foundation has caught my attention because of the water base. I have dry skin around my nose and over my cheeks so hopefully this will give me the hydration I need in a foundation. Now for a setting powder I know exactly what I want and I don’t need to try it out as its the Laura Mercier loose setting powder. Enough said really.
Those are just my top picks of what make up I’m looking for, anything else on that list I will have to test out as I’m still unsure. My clothing list is almost non existent as I don’t know what shops are out there until I go, I know there’s a Target which sells some nice stuff but as seasons change so do the clothes.
Theres only one gadget on my list I want, and that’s the Apple Watch. I bought Tom one for Christmas and he loves it, but he has the stainless steel one which cost me £600!
That’s all for now, please let me know in the comments below if there’s anything I should check out while in America.
