Cohorted ‘My Little Treat Box’ -first impressions

Cohorted have released a one-off box called the ‘my little treat box’ and you can buy it for £39.99 (inc P&P). I managed to get my hands on this little beauty and I looking forward to trying everything out as the line-up looks fab!

Nars Velvet Lip Pencil – Buenos Aires

First up is the Nars velvet lip pencil in the shade ‘Buenos Aires’.

The colour is a mix between a pink and a rose with a slight shimmer. It’s really smooth to apply on lips and does give a little pop of colour. I found this colour didn’t suit me very well (I’m quite pale so I looked a bit washed out) but would love to try this when I get a tan on my honeymoon

This is the Nars pencil swatched.

Laura Mercier – Flawless Facebook Pallet

Next up is the Laura Mercier flawless Facebook pallet.

The packaging is cute! The pallet has a faux crocodile print which I find makes the product look quite sleek. Inside is a large mirror on the left (always useful!) and the product is in the right. The products included are:

  • Tinted moisturiser creme compact
  • Mineral pressed powder
  • Secret camouflage x 2
  • Secret concealer
  • Brush

I think this will make a great pallet if the colours match your skin tone, if not then the it’s a bit of a waste. I will try this out and let you guys know what I think.

Sigma E25 Blending Brush

Next in the box is the Sigma E25 blending brush.

This brush is quite a nice size. The brush itself is firm with a round head. It looks like it would work well to soften hard lines and edges.

HD Brows Blusher – No.2

Next up is the HD brows blusher in the shade no.2.

Wow this blusher has a lot of pigment! Think a light hand is needed when applying. It is a dark rose with a shimmer that can be layered up (or even used as an eyeshadow?). The packaging is really nice, the blush is protected with a clear cover that can house the little sponge applicator. Will give this blusher a go and see if will give me a soft glow.

A swatch of the blusher.

Nars Pure Sheer SPF lip Treatment

Next is the Nars pure sheer SPF lip treatment.  Now this is the one I was excited to see! This Nars product has a high SPF that is used to protect the lips from getting burnt. If you didn’t put anything on when out in the lovely sunshine and your poor lips become burnt then you can use this lip treatment to help with healing. I’m off to LA in June so this is coming with me!

Versace Crystal Noir

Second to last is the Versace crystal noir perfume sample.

This bottle is cute! Will look brilliant of my vanity with some other perfume bottles. This perfume is very feminine with a sweet long-lasting fragrance. It has a top note of Amber, a heart note of Gardenia and base note of Tuberose. This is my type of fragrance as I only ever wear perfume when j go out for some drinks.
The Balm – put a lid on it

Lastly, is The Balm put a lid on it.

This is a eyelid primer that states it keeps eyeshadows from creasing and fading throughout the day. I’m ashamed to say that I have never used an eyelid primer before so I’m excited to try it! I wear eyeshadow every day and I have noticed that it does fade after about 6 hours so I’ll put this to the test. The colour of the product is nude which can suit most colours and applies smoothly.

Colour of the eyelid primer (its more nude than yellow!)

Overall I am impressed with the one-off Cohorted box. I only paid £39.99 and i believe that’s I have had my money’s worth. I will review all products once I have tried out everything and give my honest opinion.

  1. I just got mine, but am a bit gutted at the Nars Lip Pencil that I got – I got a really horrid colour ‘Tender Night’. Also, my HD brows blusher has what looks like a piece of paper stuck to it, did yours?

    1. My Nars lip pencil isn’t a nice colour either but I think it would look good on top of a bold lip colour to give it an ombré look. My blusher had that on too, I gently pulled it off and it’s fine. I think they had it on to protect the wording??
